Chef Nora's Decadent Chocolate Chip Muffins

1⁄3 | cup vegetable oil |
3 | tablespoons white sugar |
2 | tablespoons brown sugar |
Instructions
1. | Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and either grease 12 muffin cups or line them with paper muffin liners. |

2. | In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and miniature semisweet chocolate chips. Add the beaten egg, milk, and vegetable oil; stir the mixture until the batter is just moistened. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling them about 3/4 full. |
3. | In a small bowl, mix together white sugar and brown sugar. Sprinkle this sugar mixture over the tops of the muffins. |
4. | Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the muffins are a beautiful golden brown color. Remove them immediately from the pan. |
