2 | large limes |
2 | large oranges |
3⁄4 | cup Granulated sugar |
1 | bottle Malbec wine |
1⁄3 | cup Brandy |
1⁄3 | cup Triple sec |
1 -2 | teaspoons Texas Pete Hotter Hot Sauce |
1 | quart ice cold club soda |
Instructions

---|---|
2. | Extract the juice from the lemons, limes, and oranges. Place the juice and the peeled citrus zest in a medium saucepan. Stir in the granulated sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove it from heat. Let the citrus simple syrup steep for 30 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer and refrigerate until chilled. |
3. | While the simple syrup is cooling, prepare the red wine base. In a large serving pitcher, combine the bottle of Malbec wine, triple sec, brandy, and the chilled citrus simple syrup. Stir well to mix. |
