Classic Rum Old Fashioned

A sophisticated twist on the traditional Old Fashioned cocktail, featuring dark rum, demerara simple syrup, and aromatic bitters.

Ingredients

2	ounces Dark rum
¼	ounce Demerara simple syrup
	Angostura (or other aromatic) bitters
	Orange peel (optional)

Instructions

• 1. In a mixing glass, carefully layer the ingredients on top of one another. Add ice and stir gently until condensation forms on the glass.
  2. Strain the mixture into a chilled old fashioned glass and garnish with a twist of orange peel. For a milder flavor, serve over ice.
