8 ounces sour cream
1 cup cooled, freshly brewed mocha-flavored coffee (Gevalia Kaffe)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 unsweetened chocolate squares
1 cup butter or margarine
1 12 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 12 cups flour, divided
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
12 teaspoon salt
powdered sugar

Instructions

  • For Cake

    1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
    2. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, cooled freshly brewed Gevalia Kaffe mocha-flavored coffee, and vanilla.
    3. Melt the unsweetened chocolate squares and butter, then stir in the sugar.
    4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, using an electric mixer.
    5. Add 1/2 cup of flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
    6. Gradually add the remaining flour alternately with the sour cream mixture, beating thoroughly.
    7. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-cup fluted tube pan.
    8. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    9. Allow the cake to cool before sprinkling with powdered sugar.
