Ingredients

1 ½ salmon fillets
1 tablespoon butter
1 salt and pepper
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon parsley
12 teaspoon dill
1 lemon wedge
1 green onion, finely chopped, using just the green parts

Instructions

1. Begin by cutting the salmon fillet into 4 serving pieces. Place the large side of the fillet towards the edge of a Pyrex baking dish, leaving the center open. Pierce the fish, dot with butter, and cover the dish with plastic wrap.
2. Microwave the dish on Medium power (50%) for 5 minutes.
3. In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, parsley, onion, and dill to prepare the herb sauce.
4. Spread the prepared mayonnaise mixture on top of the salmon fillets. Microwave the dish on Medium power (50%) covered for 5-6 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
5. Garnish the dish with lemon wedges before serving.
6. If using salmon steaks, arrange them with the thinner ends towards the center of the dish.
7. For one-inch steaks, microwave them for 5 minutes at medium power, then cover them with the herb sauce and microwave for an additional 5-6 minutes before serving.
