For the Chilli Prawns

2 tablespoons oil
500 g green prawns (uncooked)
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
2 teaspoons black bean paste
1 tablespoon chili, minced
ΒΌ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon malt vinegar
2 teaspoons brown sugar
chives (to garnish)

Instructions

  • For the Chilli Prawns

    1. Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Add the green prawns and stir-fry until they change color.
    2. Remove the prawns from the wok and set aside.
    3. In the same wok, add minced garlic, ginger, black bean paste, and minced chili. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
    4. Return the cooked prawns to the wok. Add ketchup, malt vinegar, and brown sugar. Stir-fry until the prawns are heated through.
    5. Sprinkle the dish with chives before serving. Enjoy the Singapore Chilli Prawns with steamed rice.
