Southern Seafood Gumbo
A delightful combination of sausage, chicken, and crab in a flavorful broth, served over rice.
Ingredients
1 | lb cut in small cubes |

3 | tablespoons oil |
3 | tablespoons flour |
1 | cut in small pieces |
10 | ounces crabmeat, undrained |
14 | ounces Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained |
14 | ounces chicken broth |
8 | ounces frozen cut okra |
2 | tablespoons Worcestershire sauce |
1 | cup Minute Rice |
Instructions
1. | In a large soup pot, sauté the kielbasa in oil until lightly browned. Sprinkle the flour evenly over the kielbasa and sauté until the flour is browned. Add half a cup of water to loosen the flour. Then, add the chicken pieces and cook for 5 minutes until barely done. Stir in the crabmeat, tomatoes, chicken broth, okra, Worcestershire sauce, and rice until the mixture is smooth. Heat thoroughly and simmer for 20 minutes. |
