New Orleans Seafood Delight
A delicious seafood dish inspired by the flavors of New Orleans, featuring tilapia fillets, shrimp, and a creamy alfredo sauce, seasoned with creole spices.
Ingredients
2 ½ | lbs tilapia fillets |
---|---|
1 | cup alfredo sauce |
¾ | lb cleaned, shelled and deveined shrimp |
2 | tablespoons creole seasoning |
3 | tablespoons olive oil |
4 | tablespoons butter, divided |
2 | finely minced garlic |
Instructions
1. | Preheat the oven to 425°F. |
---|---|
2. | Begin by washing and drying the tilapia fillets. Spread them with olive oil and creole seasoning to your desired taste. Place the seasoned fillets in a well-oiled baking pan and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until just cooked through. |
3. | While the fish is baking, gently warm the alfredo sauce in a small saucepan. |
4. | In a frying pan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and the cleaned, prepared shrimp. Saute the shrimp for about 5 minutes until cooked through. |
5. | Once the fish is ready, remove the pan from the oven. For an added touch, you can place the pan under the broiler for about a minute. |
6. | Carefully transfer the cooked fillets to plates. Top each fillet with the cooked shrimp and drizzle with 1/4 cup of warmed alfredo sauce. For an optional finishing touch, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and a dusting of creole seasoning. |
