Buckthorn tea

Sea buckthorns have a lot of health benefits including antioxidants, omega fatty acids, beta-carotene, amino acids, and vitamins (particularly, vitamin C in large quantities, vitamins E and A). Paired with other ingredients (like citrus fruits, turmeric, honey and other spices), the Sea Buckthorn Tea a perfect cold remedy. Berries have a specific both tart and citrusy, with subtle sweetness flavour, so be sure you add enough honey to your taste.
Ingredients
1 -2 | cup sea buckthorns, fresh or frozen |
---|---|
1 -2 | tablespoon honey, or other sweetener (to taste) |
1 | star anise (optional) |
1⁄2 | orange (or lemon) |
1 | tablespoon rosemary |
1 | tablespoon ginger |
Instructions
1. | Place the Sea Buckthorn Berries into a food processor. Blend until smooth and processed. |

2. | In this puree you can add the other ingredients. Mix well. |
3. | For one serving: in a glass with boiled water add 2-5 tablespoons of this mixture. At your taste you can add honey. |
