2 bunches fresh spinach
1 cup butter
1 cup whipping cream
salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • For Braised Spinach

    1. Prepare the fresh spinach by washing it thoroughly. Place the damp spinach in a pot, cover, and cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until wilted.
    2. Drain the cooked spinach well, rinse with cold water, and gently squeeze out any excess moisture.
    3. In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat until it sizzles. Add the wilted spinach and sauté gently until the spinach is coated in the butter.
    4. Pour in the whipping cream and bring to a boil. Let it simmer until the cream is reduced, and the spinach reaches a thick, luscious consistency.
    5. Season the braised spinach generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
