Classic Root Beer Slushy

Image for recipe: Classic Root Beer Slushy

Ingredients: 4

This delightful and invigorating beverage closely resembles a root beer float but with a lighter touch of dairy.

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) bottle root beer
3 tablespoons cold heavy cream
14 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 12 cups root beer, cold

Instructions

    1. Begin by pouring a bottle of root beer into a standard-sized ice cube tray. Transfer the tray carefully to the freezer and let it freeze for 3 to 4 hours.
    2. In a small bowl, whisk the cold heavy cream and vanilla until they achieve a slightly thickened consistency. Cover the bowl and refrigerate it until further use.
    3. Next, take the frozen root beer ice cubes and transfer them into a blender. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold root beer and blend the mixture until a smooth, thick slush forms. Stop the blender intermittently to shake it for optimal blending.
    4. To serve, pour the slushy into 2 frozen mugs, ensuring there is about 1 inch of space at the top. Spoon the prepared vanilla cream over the slushy and serve immediately.
