Classic Root Beer Slushy
This delightful and invigorating beverage closely resembles a root beer float but with a lighter touch of dairy.
Ingredients
1 | (16 ounce) bottle root beer |
---|---|
3 | tablespoons cold heavy cream |
1⁄4 | teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 1⁄2 | cups root beer, cold |
Instructions
1. | Begin by pouring a bottle of root beer into a standard-sized ice cube tray. Transfer the tray carefully to the freezer and let it freeze for 3 to 4 hours. |
---|---|
2. | In a small bowl, whisk the cold heavy cream and vanilla until they achieve a slightly thickened consistency. Cover the bowl and refrigerate it until further use. |
3. | Next, take the frozen root beer ice cubes and transfer them into a blender. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold root beer and blend the mixture until a smooth, thick slush forms. Stop the blender intermittently to shake it for optimal blending. |
4. | To serve, pour the slushy into 2 frozen mugs, ensuring there is about 1 inch of space at the top. Spoon the prepared vanilla cream over the slushy and serve immediately. |
