Ingredients

1 beef top sirloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick
1 red bell pepper, seeded
1 green bell pepper, seeded
8 whole mushrooms
¼ cup vegetable oil (may need less)
3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon dried red pepper flakes

Instructions

    1. Prepare the beef by cutting it into 1-inch cubes and trimming off any excess fat.
    2. In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients, including brown sugar, cider vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, fresh ginger, black pepper, and dried red pepper flakes.
    3. For easy marinating and cleanup, you can use a large resealable plastic bag. Place the beef in the marinade, ensuring it is well coated, and refrigerate for 1-4 hours.
    4. Cut the red and green bell peppers into 1-inch pieces.
    5. Brush or spray the peppers and mushrooms with vegetable oil or cooking spray.
    6. Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
    7. Thread the marinated beef, peppers, and mushrooms onto skewers in an alternating pattern.
    8. Grill the kabobs over medium heat (around 375°F) for 15-20 minutes or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness.
