This exquisite drink syrup is crafted from an ancient Persian recipe, offering a refreshing and invigorating taste sensation. Perfect for outdoor activities like camping and ideal for quenching your thirst on scorching hot days!

Ingredients

4 white sugar
2 water
12 ounces fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
1 cup chopped fresh mint
½ cup sliced fresh ginger
2 lemons, peeled and juiced
1 cup white balsamic vinegar (not distilled vinegar)

Instructions

    1. In a saucepan, bring the white sugar and water to a vigorous boil over high heat. Allow it to boil until the sugar completely dissolves. Add the fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped mint, sliced ginger, lemon peels, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Bring the mixture back to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and gently stir in the white balsamic vinegar.
    2. Leave the syrup to rest overnight at room temperature. The following day, strain out the fruits using a fine sieve, ensuring a smooth texture. Store the syrup at room temperature in a sterilized container.
    3. To enjoy, mix 1 part of the syrup into 4 to 6 parts of water. Serve the drink cold and consider adding ice for an extra refreshing touch.
