1 | slightly beaten egg |
1 | cup breadcrumbs |
1 | teaspoon oregano |
1 | teaspoons lemon juice |
2 | tablespoons water |
1 | tablespoon melted butter |
2 | tablespoons minced blanched almonds |
1 | medium minced onion |
1 | teaspoon salt |
1 | teaspoon pepper |
Instructions

For preparing the haddock
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, combine the beaten egg with low-fat milk.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, and pepper. Dip the haddock fillets into the egg/milk mixture, then coat them with the breadcrumbs mixture.
- Arrange the coated haddock fillets side-by-side in a greased baking pan.

For baking and serving
- In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, water, and melted butter. Pour this mixture over the haddock fillets, then sprinkle with minced blanched almonds and minced onion.
- Bake the haddock fillets in the preheated oven, uncovered, for approximately 10 minutes or until the flesh is flakes easily and is no longer translucent.
