Cheesy Ham and Potatoes Au Gratin
A delicious and creamy potato casserole with ham and a cheesy sauce, baked to perfection.
Ingredients

1 | (14 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1⁄2 | cup cup plain breadcrumbs |
Instructions
1. | Begin by bringing water to a boil in a large dutch oven. Add the thinly sliced potatoes and cook for about 15 minutes, or until they are tender. |

2. | In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, melt the butter. |
3. | Stir in the all-purpose flour until it forms a smooth paste. Add the chopped onions and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they become translucent. |
4. | Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble. |
5. | Add the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and a dash of black pepper. Stir until the cheese is completely melted. Then, mix in the cream of mushroom soup. |
6. | Pour this creamy cheese sauce over the potato mixture, and gently stir everything together. Add the diced ham and fold it in gently. |
7. | Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the plain breadcrumbs on top. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the dish is bubbly and golden brown. |
