Indulge in these delicious sticky buns with a gooey pecan filling, perfect for a cozy breakfast or sweet treat.

Ingredients

1 cup store-bought brioche dough
1 cup brown sugar (not packed, original calls for 2 cups)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
12 lb butter
15 ounces brown sugar
5 ounces honey
12 cup cream
12 cup water

Instructions

    1. Dough Preparation:
    2. Begin by rolling out the store-bought brioche dough on a floured surface until it forms a thin 1/4-inch thick rectangle.
    3. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and toasted chopped pecans. Spread this mixture evenly over the brioche dough.
    4. Roll up the dough jelly roll-style and slice it into 1-inch thick buns.
    5. Prepare the Goo by spreading a mixture on the bottom of a roasting pan and placing the sliced buns on top, ensuring they are evenly spaced. For an extra touch, sprinkle additional chopped pecans over the Goo.
    6. Cover the pan and allow the buns to rise in a warm place for 2 to 3 hours.
    7. Baking:
    8. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
    9. Bake the buns in the preheated oven until they turn golden brown, approximately 45 minutes.
    10. Allow the buns to cool for 10 minutes before inverting them onto a serving platter.
    11. Goo Preparation:
    12. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the brown sugar.
    13. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Then, whisk in the honey, cream, and water. Set this Goo mixture aside for later use.
