A hearty and comforting beef stew that is slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in tender meat and flavorful vegetables.

Ingredients

3 lbs stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 diced carrots, drained
1 white pearl onions, drained
1 tomatoes
1 peas, drained
1 green beans, drained
1 small whole potatoes, drained
1 beef consomme (only use ½ can)
1 cup quick-cooking tapioca
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 cup fine dry breadcrumb
1 bay leaf
1 cup dry white wine
salt and pepper

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 250°F.
    2. In a large casserole dish, combine the stew meat, diced carrots, white pearl onions, tomatoes, peas, green beans, small whole potatoes, beef consomme (using only half of the can), quick-cooking tapioca, brown sugar, fine dry breadcrumbs, bay leaf, dry white wine, salt, and pepper.
    3. Cover the casserole dish and cook in the preheated oven for 6 to 7 hours, or until the meat is tender and the flavors have melded together perfectly.
