Instructions
For the coffee cake | |

2. | Add the vanilla extract; then add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. |
3. | Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; add them alternately with sour cream, beating just enough after each addition to keep the batter smooth. |
4. | Spoon one-third of the batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan. |
5. | Combine the ground cinnamon, chopped walnuts, and the remaining sugar; sprinkle one-third over the batter in the pan. |
6. | Repeat the layers two more times. |
7. | Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 70 minutes or until the cake tests done. |
8. | Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes; then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. |
