1 small bay leaf
14 teaspoon black pepper
12 cup water
2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

For marinating and cooking the pork

1. Marinate the pork cubes in a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, salt, minced garlic, bay leaf, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
2. Simmer the marinated pork covered for one hour until the meat is tender. Drain the pork and reserve the flavorful sauce.
3. Heat cooking oil in a skillet. Brown the pork cubes on all sides until golden. Transfer the browned pork to a serving dish.
4. Discard excess oil from the skillet. Add the reserved sauce and cook for a minute or two, deglazing and scraping off any brown bits. Remove the bay leaf. Pour the sauce over the pork and serve hot.
