1 small apple, peeled, cored, and diced
1 small onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups fresh breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sage
3 tablespoons melted butter
6 thick pork chops
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • For the apple stuffing and pork chops

    1. Begin by combining diced apple, chopped onion, salt, fresh breadcrumbs, pepper, sage, and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
    2. If the mixture seems too dry to hold together, moisten with a little water.
    3. Create a deep pocket in each pork chop and generously stuff with the apple dressing. Secure the opening with a toothpick.
    4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet and sear the stuffed pork chops on both sides until nicely browned.
