Ingredients

3⁄4 | cup butter, softened |
1 | teaspoon cinnamon, divided |
1⁄4 | teaspoon salt |
1⁄2 | cup chopped walnuts |
3 | ripe pears, peeled, cored and sliced |
3 | large eggs |
1⁄3 | cup packed brown sugar |
1 1⁄2 | teaspoons vanilla extract |
Instructions
1. | Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. |

2. | In a medium bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, softened butter, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and salt; mix thoroughly. |
3. | Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 7 x 11-inch baking dish. |
4. | Arrange the chopped walnuts and sliced pear on top of the crust. |
5. | Using the same mixing bowl, beat the eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and the remaining cinnamon until a smooth mixture forms; pour this over the pears. |
6. | Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is set. |
7. | Allow the squares to cool completely before cutting them into perfectly-sized portions. |
