Instructions
For preparing the sauerkraut balls | |

1. | Cook the crumbled sausage and chopped onion until the meat is browned. |
2. | Drain the excess fat. |
3. | Add the squeezed dry and finely snipped sauerkraut along with 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs to the sausage mixture. |
4. | Combine the cream cheese, parsley, prepared mustard, garlic salt, and pepper before adding it to the sauerkraut mixture. |
5. | Chill the mixture for one hour. |
6. | Form the mixture into small balls and coat them with flour. |
7. | Dip each ball in the egg-milk mixture and then roll them in breadcrumbs. |
8. | Fry the balls in deep fat until they turn golden brown; alternatively, bake them in a preheated 375°F oven for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot. |
