A delicious and flavorful twist on traditional fried rice featuring roasted turkey and a hint of maple sweetness.

Ingredients

2 Brown rice, cooked
1 cup Roasted turkey (thigh and leg portions)
2 tablespoons Sesame oil
cup Green onion
¾ cup Grated carrot
1 Egg
2 tablespoons Maple syrup
2 Garlic
1 teaspoon Dried, rubbed sage
1 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon Sesame seed (for garnish)

Instructions

    1. Begin by whisking the egg in a small bowl until well scrambled. Set aside.
    2. Heat two tablespoons of sesame oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat, ensuring it is hot but not smoking.
    3. Add the grated carrot and green onion to the pan, creating space to pour the scrambled egg in a thin layer. Use a fork to gently separate the egg into small pieces as it cooks.
    4. Stir in the maple syrup, followed by the sage and garlic. Continuously stir to prevent the garlic from burning.
    5. Fold in the cooked brown rice and the roasted turkey. Season with salt to taste. Serve and enjoy!
