Mexican Style Chicken with Rice

1 | cup white rice |
2 | cups water |
1 | (1 ¼ ounce) package taco seasoning |
1 | (15 ounce) jar salsa |
2 | cups shredded monterey jack cheese |

Instructions
1. | Preheat the oven to 375°F. |

2. | In a 9 x 13 x 2 baking dish, combine the white rice, salsa, and taco seasoning. |
3. | Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture. |
4. | Pour 2 cups of water over the chicken and rice. |
5. | Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. |
6. | Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the top. |
7. | Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly. |
