Recipe

This is a fruity raspberry-peach twist on red sangria, built around a dry red wine, fresh citrus, peaches, berries, and a measured splash of peach schnapps. The fruit macerates in the wine so the pitcher tastes integrated, while chilled sparkling water is added just before serving for a light finish.
Sangria | |
|---|---|
1 | bottle dry red wine |
1⁄2 | cup orange juice, fresh |
1⁄4 | cup peach schnapps |
2 | tablespoons brandy |
1 -2 | tablespoons granulated sugar, to taste |
1 | orange, thinly sliced |
1 | lemon, thinly sliced |
2 | peach, pitted and sliced |
1 | cup raspberry, fresh |
2 | cups sparkling water, chilled |
| • | ice, for serving |
| 1. | Combine the wine, orange juice, peach schnapps, brandy, and 1 tablespoon sugar in a large pitcher and stir until the sugar dissolves. |
|---|---|
| 2. | Add the orange, lemon, peaches, and raspberries to the pitcher. |
| 3. | Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours, so the fruit can flavor the wine. |
| 4. | Taste the sangria and stir in the remaining tablespoon sugar only if a sweeter pitcher is desired. |
| 5. | Just before serving, stir in the chilled sparkling water. |
| 6. | Serve in glasses filled with ice, spooning some fruit into each glass. |
