Indulge in these delightful stuffed peppers featuring a savory combination of cream cheese and sausage accompanied by a tantalizing pasta sauce drizzle and Parmesan cheese topping.

Ingredients

4 large Cubanelle peppers, stemmed and seeded
1 pound mild Italian pork sausage
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
¼ cup pasta sauce, or to taste
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and elegantly line a baking sheet with foil.
2. Bring a large pot of water to a vigorous boil. Immerse the large Cubanelle peppers into the boiling water, then turn off the heat, allowing the peppers to soften for approximately 5 minutes. Remove the peppers and set them aside to cool.
3. While the peppers are gently cooling, meticulously combine the mild Italian pork sausage and softened cream cheese in a bowl.
4. Carefully fill the peppers with the delectable sausage mixture and carefully place them on the prepared baking sheet. Shape any remaining sausage mixture into meatballs and arrange them next to the stuffed peppers. Generously drizzle pasta sauce over the peppers and meatballs, followed by a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
5. Bake in the preheated oven until the sausage mixture achieves a golden brown hue and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center displays a temperature of at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C), which should take approximately 35 minutes.
