Ingredients

For Grilled Vegetables and Teriyaki Glaze

2 cups fresh broccoli florets
10 baby carrots, halved lengthwise
4 button mushrooms, sliced
1 small zucchini, sliced into rounds
1 tablespoon olive oil
12 cup soy sauce
12 cup white sugar
14 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon ginger paste

Instructions

  • For Grilled Vegetables and Teriyaki Glaze

    1. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Also, preheat the side burner of the grill to medium heat.
    2. In a large bowl, combine fresh broccoli florets, baby carrots, sliced button mushrooms, and rounds of small zucchini. Drizzle with olive oil, tossing to coat. Transfer the vegetables into a grill basket.
    3. In a medium saucepan, mix soy sauce, white sugar, apple cider vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, cornstarch, garlic powder, and ginger paste. Whisk until well combined. Place the saucepan on the side burner of the grill and cook until it simmers, approximately 5 minutes; then reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer.
    4. While the sauce simmers, grill the vegetables on the preheated grill for 15 minutes, flipping every 5 minutes. Pour the teriyaki glaze over the vegetables, ensuring they are well coated. Continue cooking until tender, for an additional 5 minutes.
