2 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
12 teaspoon cinnamon
lemon juice
4 tablespoons butter
5 eggs
2 cups milk
orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 bread cubes
12 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

1. Begin by peeling, coring, and thinly slicing the apples. Toss the slices with lemon juice and cinnamon. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat and sauté the apples until softened. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and honey granules until well combined. Add the half-and-half, orange zest, and vanilla. Mix in the bread cubes and cranberries, allowing them to soak up the custard for 15 minutes before incorporating the cooled apples.
3. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Transfer the mixture into a buttered soufflé pan and place it in a roasting pan. Pour boiling water into the roasting pan, filling it halfway up the sides of the soufflé pan. Bake for approximately 1 hour until set.
