3 cups flour
2 14 cups sugar (divided)
1 tablespoon baking powder
12 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
1 cup oil
13 cup orange juice
2 12 teaspoons vanilla
4 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

    1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    2. In another bowl, beat together eggs, oil, orange juice, and vanilla until well mixed.
    3. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix thoroughly.
    4. In a separate bowl, toss the thinly sliced apples with cinnamon and the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar.
    5. Grease a 10-inch tube pan and spread one-third of the batter evenly on the bottom.
    6. Layer half of the cinnamon-coated apple slices on top of the batter.
    7. Repeat the layers with the remaining batter and apples.
    8. Carefully spread the rest of the batter over the top layer of apples.
    9. Bake the cake in a preheated 350ºF oven for 55-65 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean.
    10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to finish cooling.
    11. Dust the cake with powdered sugar for a decorative touch.
