Berry Mascarpone Trifle

Indulge in layers of creamy mascarpone cheese, whipped cream, and mixed berries beautifully assembled in a delightful trifle.

1 | cup confectioners' sugar |
1⁄2 | cup granulated sugar |
2 | tablespoons vanilla extract |
1 | package frozen mixed berries |
2 | quarts strawberries, sliced |
2 | pints blackberries |
1 | pint raspberries |
8 | ladyfingers |
Instructions

- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Add the confectioners' sugar and mix until well blended.
- In a medium bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese with vanilla extract and granulated sugar.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream.
- In another bowl, puree the thawed mixed berries with granulated sugar. Microwave for 1-2 minutes if needed.
- Separate the ladyfingers and dip each one (flat side down) in the berry puree.
- Arrange the ladyfingers in concentric circles on the bottom of the trifle bowl. Stack ladyfingers along the sides to create a cake "crust" for the filling.
- Drizzle some berry puree over the ladyfingers on the bottom.
- Spread the mascarpone and cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add the sliced strawberries and blackberries, then continue layers of cream, berries, and puree.
- In the center layer, add more ladyfingers.
- Continue layering the mascarpone and cream, berries, and puree until reaching the top of the trifle bowl.
- Arrange strawberry slices along the edge of the trifle bowl. Place raspberries and blackberries in concentric circles on the top cream layer. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Save some puree for guests to drizzle over individual servings.
