   A delicious and decadent frosting with a rich brown butter and rum flavor.
| 1⁄4 | cup unsalted butter |

| 1 | cup icing sugar | 
| 2 | tablespoons dark rum | 
| 1. | In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, brown the unsalted butter until it separates and the milk solids sizzle. Be careful not to burn the butter; it should have a toasted aroma. Transfer the browned butter to a small ramekin and refrigerate until it hardens, approximately 2 hours. This brown butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. |

| 2. | When you are ready to make the frosting, remove the browned butter from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 1 hour. In a mixer, whip the browned butter and icing sugar together on low speed. Add 2 tablespoons of dark rum to the mixture and continue whipping until well combined. |
