Caraway-Infused Pizza Sauce

Image for recipe: Caraway-Infused Pizza Sauce

Caraway is the sleeper move in this pizza sauce: a small measure toasted in with garlic, thyme, oregano, rosemary and bay turns ordinary tomato sauce and paste into something with a faint rye-bread warmth underneath the herbs. Fifteen minutes makes two cups — enough for several pizzas, and it freezes flat in bags for the next dough night.
