Chef's Special Alabama White Barbecue BBQ Sauce
A delicious and unique white barbecue BBQ sauce that will elevate your dishes to a whole new level. Perfect for marinating or brushing on chicken, turkey, or pork.
Ingredients
1 | cup mayonnaise, I use Hellmann's but feel free to use your favorite brand |
---|---|
1 | cup cider vinegar, I prefer Heinz |
1 | tablespoon fresh lemon juice, freshly squeezed for best flavor |
1-1 ½ | tablespoons black pepper, adjust according to your preference |
¼ | teaspoon cayenne pepper, adds a subtle heat without overwhelming the dish |
Instructions
1. | In a bowl, combine all ingredients thoroughly. For optimum flavor, refrigerate the sauce for at least 8 hours before using (though it can be used immediately if needed). Lightly brush the sauce on your choice of meat or use it as a marinade. If brushing, do so during the last few minutes of grilling. This versatile sauce can also be served as a tasty dipping sauce. |
---|---|
2. | This quantity is sufficient to generously coat 6 pieces of chicken, so adjust as needed depending on whether you are marinating or simply brushing it on. |
