Ingredients

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, diced
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
½ lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
½ cup marsala wine
1 ½ beef stock
salt & pepper

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. Add diced onions and chopped garlic; cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
3. Incorporate the sliced fresh mushrooms into the saucepan and sauté until they are tender.
4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and cook for 1 minute, then deglaze the pan by adding the Marsala wine.
5. Pour in the beef stock, stir to blend all ingredients together, and simmer until the sauce thickens.
