Cholesterol-Free Oil Pastry
A cholesterol-free pastry crust perfect for both sweet and savory dishes.
Ingredients
2 | cups flour |

2 | teaspoons sugar |
1 ¼ | teaspoons salt |
⅔ | cup salad oil |
3 | tablespoons milk (any kind) |
1 | egg yolk (optional) |

Instructions
1. | Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. |

2. | Using a fork, whip together the salad oil and skim milk until well combined. |
3. | Pour the oil and milk mixture over the flour, stirring with a fork until all the flour is dampened. |
4. | Set aside around 1/3 of the dough for the top crust. |
5. | Press the remaining dough evenly onto the bottom and sides of a pie plate. |
6. | Fill the pastry with your desired fruit filling. |
7. | For the top crust, crumble the reserved dough and sprinkle it evenly over the filling. |
8. | Follow the baking instructions as per your fruit pie recipe. |
9. | Note: This recipe is intended for an 8" pie. If using a 9 1/2" pie pan, the entire dough can be used for a single pie crust, perfect for cold pudding fillings. |
