Classic Sherry Trifle

A delightful and traditional English dessert that combines layers of jam roll, fruit cocktail, sherry-infused Jell-O, creamy custard, whipped cream, and colorful sugar sprinkles.

½ | cup sherry wine |

Instructions

- Begin by slicing the jam roll and arranging it in the bottom of a trifle bowl.
- Prepare the strawberry Jell-O as per the package instructions, replacing 1/2 cup of cold water with 1/2 cup of sherry. Pour the prepared Jell-O over the jam roll.
- Cover the jam roll and Jell-O layer with the drained fruit cocktail.
- Place the trifle in the fridge to allow it to set.
- Once the trifle has set, prepare the custard as per the instructions and pour it over the set Jell-O layer.
- Finish by topping the trifle with whipped cream and a generous sprinkle of colored sugar sprinkles. Keep the trifle refrigerated until ready to serve.
