Classic Slow Cooked Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 | lbs pork butt or pork roast |

4 | garlic cloves, crushed |
4 | celery ribs |
24 | ounces root beer |
hickory seasoning, to taste | |
4 | tablespoons dark brown sugar |
1 | (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce |

Instructions
1. | Prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray for easy cleanup. |

2. | Begin by trimming the excess fat from the pork. Place the meat in the slow cooker. |
3. | Layer the pork with 3 cloves of crushed garlic, 2 small chopped onions, celery ribs cut to fit in the cooker, and hickory seasoning to your liking. |
4. | Pour the root beer over the ingredients in the slow cooker. |
5. | Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart. |
6. | Once cooked, remove the pork from the cooker. Use a fork to shred the meat, removing any excess fat. |
7. | Mix chopped onions, garlic, dark brown sugar, and your favorite barbecue sauce. Add this mixture to the shredded pork. |
