½ | cup butter, softened |
4 | eggs |
2 | teaspoons rum extract |
½ | cup ready to spread vanilla frosting |
½ | teaspoon rum extract |
¼ | cup chopped pecans |

- Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Generously grease and flour a 12-cup Bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, water, softened butter, eggs, and 2 teaspoons of rum extract. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds.
- Increase the speed to medium and beat the mixture for an additional 2 minutes until well combined.
- Carefully pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then carefully remove from the pan.
- Let the cake cool completely, approximately 2 hours.
- For the frosting, place the vanilla frosting in a small microwavable bowl.
- Microwave the frosting on Medium (50% heat) for about 15 seconds, then stir in 1/2 teaspoon of rum extract.
- Spread the frosting over the top of the cake, allowing some to drizzle down the sides.
