3 | Finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies |

2 | Powdered (confectioner's) sugar, plus more for rolling |
1 | cup Finely chopped pecans or walnuts |
1⁄4 | cup unsweetened cocoa powder |
1⁄2 | cup Bourbon, Rum, or Grand Marnier (or Tequila) |
1⁄4 | cup Light corn syrup (or honey) |
1⁄4 | Optional - vanilla extract |
1⁄2 | Optional - grated orange zest |
Instructions
1. | Combine the finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies, powdered sugar, chopped pecans, and unsweetened cocoa powder in a mixing bowl. |

2. | Stir in the bourbon, rum, or Grand Marnier, along with the light corn syrup. Add optional vanilla extract and grated orange zest if desired. |
3. | To shape the truffles, scoop 2 teaspoons of the dough (or more for larger truffles) and roll into balls using your hands. If the dough is too sticky, refrigerate for 30 minutes before shaping. |
4. | Roll the truffle balls generously in powdered sugar to coat. For optimal flavor, refrigerate and serve 1-2 days later. |
