Irresistible cocoa truffles infused with the rich flavors of rum, bourbon, or Grand Marnier, and coated in a dusting of powdered sugar.

Ingredients

3 Finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies
2 Powdered (confectioner's) sugar, plus more for rolling
1 cup Finely chopped pecans or walnuts
14 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
12 cup Bourbon, Rum, or Grand Marnier (or Tequila)
14 cup Light corn syrup (or honey)
14 Optional - vanilla extract
12 Optional - grated orange zest

Instructions

1. Combine the finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies, powdered sugar, chopped pecans, and unsweetened cocoa powder in a mixing bowl.
2. Stir in the bourbon, rum, or Grand Marnier, along with the light corn syrup. Add optional vanilla extract and grated orange zest if desired.
3. To shape the truffles, scoop 2 teaspoons of the dough (or more for larger truffles) and roll into balls using your hands. If the dough is too sticky, refrigerate for 30 minutes before shaping.
4. Roll the truffle balls generously in powdered sugar to coat. For optimal flavor, refrigerate and serve 1-2 days later.
