| 1 | (8 ounce) package shredded colby-monterey jack cheese |
| 1 | (8 ounce) bottle ranch dressing |

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the russet potatoes in the baking dish and generously season them with chili powder, salt, and ground black pepper. Distribute the cubed butter evenly over the potatoes.
