Ingredients

1 roll 16.5 oz Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
12 cup caramel topping
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
12 teaspoon coarse sea salt
12 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • For preparing the bars

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and spray an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
    2. Break up the cookie dough in the pan, reserving 1/2 cup of the dough. Press the remaining dough evenly into the bottom of the pan.
    3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
    4. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together the caramel topping and flour until well blended. Pour this mixture over the crust in the pan, spreading it carefully to within 1/4-inch from the edge. Sprinkle the sea salt and 1/4 cup of the pecans over the caramel.
    5. In another small bowl, mix the reserved dough and remaining pecans until well blended. Crumble this mixture over the bars in the pan.
    6. Bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for 1 hour before cutting into bars.
