Garlicky Pork Chops with Tomato Rice

2 | tablespoons olive oil |
1 1⁄4 | cups water, divided |
1 | (10.75 ounce) can tomato soup |
2 | tablespoons taco sauce |
Instructions
1. | Begin by bringing 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in the white rice, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes. |

2. | Season the boneless pork chops generously with garlic powder, ground black pepper, and salt to your liking. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in olive oil for 5 minutes. Add the seasoned pork chops and cook until browned on both sides. |
3. | Pour in 3/4 cup of water, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Push the chops to one side of the skillet and pour in the tomato soup and the remaining 1/2 cup of water.
