For Angel Food Cake | |

| 1. | Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and place a rack in the center. |
| 2. | Prepare an ungreased tube pan. |
| 3. | In a large mixing bowl, dump the angel food cake mix. |
| 4. | Drain the maraschino cherries, reserving 1 tablespoon of cherry juice for the frosting. |
| 5. | Mix the remaining cherry juice with water to make 1 1/4 cups of liquid. |
| 6. | Combine the cherry-water mixture with almond and vanilla extract in the bowl with the cake mix. |
| 7. | Using an electric mixer, beat on low speed for 1 minute, then increase to medium and beat for an additional minute until well blended. |
| 8. | Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a rubber spatula. |
| 9. | Bake in the preheated oven until deeply browned and the top springs back when touched, about 38-42 minutes. |

For Cherry Fluff Frosting | |
