500 g self-raising flour
2 teaspoons dry yeast
5 tablespoons sugar
250 g butter, chopped
3 egg yolks
1 cup sour cream or pure cream
6 Red Delicious apples
100 g walnuts, crushed
caster sugar
cinnamon

Instructions

    1. Preparing the Dough:
    2. In a food processor, combine chopped butter, egg yolks, and sour cream or pure cream.
    3. Incorporate self-raising flour, dry yeast, and sugar. Process until the dough is light and not sticking to the processor's sides.
    4. Adjust the dough consistency by adding more flour if too moist or a splash of milk if too dry.
    5. Cover the dough and refrigerate overnight to develop its flavors.
    6. Remove the dough from the fridge 1-2 hours before baking to allow it to soften slightly.
    7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and grease a rectangular baking dish.
    8. Divide the dough in two parts, roll out one portion to fit the baking dish.
    9. Sprinkle crushed walnuts evenly over the dough.
    10. Grate the Red Delicious apples, then squeeze out excess juice.
    11. Spread the grated apples over the walnuts.
