Allow it to come to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely, approximately 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon zest. Let the syrup cool slightly for about 10 minutes. |
2. | Mix the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold water with fresh lemon juice and limoncello liqueur into the minty syrup. |
