Serves: 4 items
Ingredients: 7

A decadent and savory appetizer featuring creamy fresh mozzarella balls filled with a sweet and nutty blend of cranberries, pecans, and maple syrup.

Ingredients

2 fresh mozzarella balls
2 fresh cranberries
Sugar (to cook the cranberries)
1 handful pecans chopped
12 handful fresh thyme leaves
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon maple syrup

Instructions

1. Begin by rinsing the cranberries with cold water. Place them in a large skillet, sprinkle with sugar, cover with water, and stir well. Cook the cranberries over medium heat until the mixture starts to bubble. Adjust sweetness as needed with more sugar. Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional five minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
2. Cut each fresh mozzarella ball in half. Trim a small portion from the base to ensure the mozzarella can sit upright on a plate.
3. Gently scoop out the insides of the mozzarella halves, creating a small well in the center.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cranberries, chopped pecans, fresh thyme leaves, olive oil, and maple syrup until a creamy consistency is achieved. Fill each mozzarella half with this flavorful mixture and serve immediately.
