Ingredients: 8
Tender French trimmed lamb chops seasoned with a peppery crust, served with a rich and creamy mustard sauce.
Ingredients
16 | french trimmed lamb chops (Or if using a larger chop like a loin, serve 1 chop per person, or for medium-sized chops, serve 2 per person) |
---|---|
2 | tablespoons French mustard, mild creamy |
1 3/4 | tablespoons black pepper |
1 | tablespoon Worcestershire sauce |
2 | tablespoons brandy |
1/2 | cup milk |
2 | cream (1/2 to 3 tablespoons) |
1 1/2 | tablespoons chopped chives |
Instructions
-
- Begin by generously seasoning the lamb chops on both sides with 1 3/4 tablespoons of freshly ground black pepper. Reserve any remaining pepper for the sauce.
- Cook the seasoned chops to your desired doneness using a grill, BBQ, or pan-frying method.
- Prepare The Creamy Mustard Sauce:
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, mild creamy French mustard, brandy, Worcestershire sauce, and the reserved black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Stir in 1/2 to 3 tablespoons of cream, heat the sauce through, and it is ready to be served over the cooked lamb chops.
- Note: If the sauce is too runny, you can thicken it by adding a small amount of cornflour.
- To serve, spoon the creamy mustard sauce over the lamb chops and garnish with freshly chopped chives.
