12 ounces spaghetti
1 lb Italian sausage
1 spaghetti squash
1 (24 ounce) jar Ragú® Pasta Sauce
4 tablespoons dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half and remove the seeds.
    3. Place the spaghetti squash halves upside down in a microwave-safe dish with the rind facing upwards. Add ½ inch of water to the dish and microwave for 8 minutes or until the squash is tender.
  • Assembly and Baking

    1. Slice the Italian sausage into ½-inch pieces and brown it in a large skillet over medium heat.
    2. Cook the spaghetti pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and mix in the Ragú pasta sauce and browned Italian sausage. Using a fork, separate the spaghetti squash strands and add them to the pasta mixture.
    3. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
    4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. In a separate bowl, combine the dry breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the cheese.
    5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until the dish is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve and enjoy!
