Ingredients

1 ½ cups thinly sliced fresh mushrooms
½ cup thinly sliced green onion
2 minced fresh garlic cloves
1 - 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 lbs ground lean pork
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (or to taste)
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
black pepper
2 tablespoons prepared mustard (optional and to taste)

Instructions

1. In a skillet, saute the mushrooms, green onion, and minced garlic in butter until tender; set aside to cool.
2. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, black pepper, and optional mustard; mix thoroughly.
3. Shape the pork mixture into 24 equal-sized patties, approximately 4-5 inches in diameter (for both top and bottom patties).
4. Divide and spoon the mushroom mixture evenly onto the center of 12 patties. Place another patty on top and seal the edges tightly to encase the filling.
5. Grill the patties over medium coals for about 20-22 minutes, turning once, until thoroughly cooked.
