Ingredients

1 cooked wild rice
4 pork chops
3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt
12 teaspoon black pepper
1 dash cayenne pepper
34 cup chopped celery
34 cup chopped onion
12 cup chopped bell pepper
1 tablespoon minced garlic
12 lb sliced mushrooms
2 beef bouillon cubes
14 cup water
0.67 cup heavy cream

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2. Season the pork chops with a blend of your favorite seasonings.
    3. In a heavy skillet or pan, heat oil and sear the pork chops until well-browned, while preserving the flavorful drippings.
    4. Add all the chopped vegetables to the reserved drippings in the pot and sauté for approximately 5 minutes, ensuring to scrape and incorporate all the flavorful bits from the bottom of the pot.
    5. Introduce the beef bouillon cubes to the pot, crush them, and stir until fully dissolved.
    6. Pour in 1/4 cup of water, cover the pot, and let the mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
    7. Grease a 9x13 baking pan to prepare for the casserole.
    8. Spread the cooked wild rice evenly in the pan, followed by a layer of the sautéed vegetables.
    9. Arrange the seared pork chops on top of the vegetable and rice mixture.
    10. Drizzle the heavy cream around the edges of the casserole.
    11. Cover the pan with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
    12. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through and the casserole is golden brown.
